A boulder-strewn open-air museum of 14th-century Vijayanagara ruins — stone chariots, ancient bazaars, and sunrise views from Matanga Hill. Hampi rewards slow mornings and a bicycle more than a packed checklist. Great for solo travellers, photographers, and small groups who want heritage and landscape in equal measure.
