About this trek

Harishchandragad is a magical fortress and known as one of the best treks in sahyadris. With kokankada keeping it charm and view taramati has to offer is soothing. The Harishchandreshwar temple and in the cave of Kedareshwar indicate that the fort belongs to the medieval period since it is related to Shaiva, Shakta or Naath. Later the fort was under the control of Moguls. The Marathas captured it in 1747. Main attractions on Fort: Sapta Tirta Pushkarini, Kedareshwar Cave, Konkan Kada (Konkan cliff), Temple of Harishchandreshwar. Essential Information: Grade: Moderate Endurance: Medium Elevation: 4650 ft. Trek Duration: 2 hrs one way Age Group: 18 to 50 Years (50+ Participants with good fitness are welcome)
